  First, the hard part- Kaune: pronounced cow-nee. Next,  Port Angeles, is about 60 miles northwest of Seattle, on the Olympic Peninsula, is the second Federal City (established by President Lincoln in 1864) after Washington, D.C.  Olympic National Park (1,200 sq. miles of pristine, magnificent natural beauty) comprises most of the Olympic Mountains and the Peninsula. 

 

Through the years, my search for old tools took me to some places where I had opportunities to photograph grand landscapes in the mountains, deserts and the coast of the Pacific West.
